Susa Valley Archaeological Heritage Day 2026

A widespread event designed to open the doors to local history, offering the opportunity to rediscover an extraordinary cultural heritage spanning from prehistory to the Middle Ages.
Walking amongst the ancient remains of the Valley is like leafing through an open-air book of stone, made up of millennia of journeys, exchanges and identities.
This year’s edition focuses on the theme ‘Heritage in Danger’, a choice that shines a spotlight on the profound fragility of archaeological sites. These monuments are not eternal: they are constantly exposed to the ravages of time, environmental changes and neglect.
