La Bionda in Tavola

Grown in the fertile land bordered by the Dora Riparia, the golden onion is distinguished by its characteristic flattened shape and an exceptionally sweet and delicate flavour. Still cultivated today on a small scale by a handful of passionate farmers who act as its guardians, it represents a true treasure of Piedmont’s biodiversity.
The undisputed star of this event, it will be on display and for sale. In addition to local producers, there will be stalls featuring products from Slow Food Presidia, Maestri del Gusto and producers from the Susa Valley.
Food stalls will be on hand to delight the palate with traditional onion-based dishes, whilst live cooking demonstrations will allow visitors to appreciate how they are prepared.
The special Welcome Tour dedicated to the Drubiaglio Blonde Onion, organised in collaboration with Turismo Torino e Provincia, returns for this year’s event.
